(WO)MANORIAL PRESENTS THE(FIRST), The Internet (October 14, 2013) — (wo)manorial is proud to present its fifth online exhibition, the(FIRST) which launches Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 12:00 AM CST and is on view through January 18, 2014.

On October 15, 2012, (wo)manorial’s inaugural exhibition, Space|Place went live. Since it’s launch, (wo)manorial has proudly produced four online exhibitions as well as one physical show at the Goss-Michael Foundation in Dallas, Texas.  (wo)manorial has presented the works of over 75 artists which have been unified in their interest of the feminine.
(wo)manorial has just begun to examine and question femininity through different lenses. There is still much more to do.
In celebration of (wo)manorial’s one year anniversary, we are happy to present the(FIRST). This exhibition highlights artists from (wo)manorial’s short past by including the works of 20 artists along with collective (wo)manorialists. the(FIRST)sets out to engage, question, develop, and/or destroy experiences of femininity. It sets out not to find any concrete resolutions but rather unveil further questions.

(wo)manorial is an online platform claiming a mobile space for artists, creatives, and thinkers who contemplate the ever-changing concept of the feminine. (wo)manorial provides a global space with which to create, communicate, and document the rapid evolvement of femininity. (wo)manorial hosts rotating exhibitions and contributing artist spaces featuring local, national and international artists.
