Rebecca Carter’s groundless thread drawing, video installation and photo-based projects have been exhibited at the Dallas Museum of Art, the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Dallas Contemporary, the exterior walls of the Dallas Omni Hotel, Road Agent Gallery, The Reading Room, 500X, the Cheongju International Craft Biennale, The New York Center for Book Arts and Arts Religare in India. Her video installation “No Place Like Home” was included in Gil Perry’s Playing at Home: The House in Contemporary Art from Reaktion Books. She lives and works in Dallas, TX where she taught at various Universities for fifteen years. She earned an M.F.A. and B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago as well as a B.A. in Studio/Art History and Women’s Studies from Oberlin College.
