Other People’s Doodles

Other People’s Doodles, 2005-2009

Thread, pins, wall

These works celebrate tiny acts of generosity and creativity by known and unknown others.  The original drawings are doodles no larger than 2” x 2” left on notes in my studio, sent on letters through the mail, or lost in my neighborhood to be captured from the wind by my garden.  I’ve projected them, blown them up, and reiterated them as groundless thread drawings, a menagerie of idiosyncratic cats.
